WeCare Development Foundation (W.D.F) is an organization geared towards promoting co-operation between the Dutch and the Sierra Leonean societies for the well-being of its people.

The focus is the utilization of Diaspora and local expertise and resources for better integration of the Sierra Leonean community into the Dutch society as well as the establishment of sustainable projects in the areas of food security, environmental protection, capacity building and education in Sierra Leone. This is done through the co-operation and co-ordination of international and local organisations.

WeCare Development Foundation was established in September 2004 and has a lot of expectations for expansion both in the Netherlands and Sierra Leone. In the Netherlands, the foundation intends to play a significant role in the integration of Sierra Leoneans living in Wageningen and Ede with the aim of sharing the Sierra Leonean culture and heritage that can stimulate a better co-existence between Sierra Leoneans and the Dutch people.

On the Sierra Leonean side, WDF is looking for Dutch partners and any other form of support that can promote the establishment and expansion of the projects particularly the mechanical rice cultivation project that has already started
